anyone tried the new Konqueror out yet? Opinions? I'm thinking about testing it out but i'm wondering if anyone knows if it's worth the long download.

The cygwin guys have KDE 2.2.1 up and running under Cygwin, so I'm assuming that Konq is part of that. You should probably note, however, that cygwin itself works substantially better on NT and 2K than on 9x as the OS itself implements much more of the Posix layer.

I went ahead and grabbed the KDE3 packages, and the whole thing is just beautiful. And it's _FAST_.

Anyway, the KHTML engine has evidently seen loads of good work done to it, because it handles most DOM2 and CSS2 attributes without a hitch. There are some formatting problems relating to background colors for dynamically assigned colors, but it's most definantly going to be a contender for the *nix desktop browser of choice.
