position:fixed in IE?

i would like to use "position:fixed", but IE does not render it correctly. does anybody know if microsoft is plannig to implement it to future versions of IE (and which version)?

Mr Jim Ley has a script that will add support for position: fixed in Internet Explorer.

seems like a good idea that could prove useful (hey, this is Jim Ley).
