Sweet. I like the scrolling in; seemed to take ages to load though (like 2 minutes - I'm on a T1)

The page looks nice. I love gray scale. However:
<ul>
the text is a bit small, I'm estimating 10px from the top of "T" to the bottom of "p"
As Dan said, it takes a while to load (there is no way it too 2 minutes unless there was a slow connection somewhere).
I would suggest renaming your function from "open" seeing as open is the built in window opening function.
Could you center the layers on the screen?
The loading message layer appears after the other layers do.

I think the left align is cool - its different and nice, everything shouldn't conform to the same style, I like it (Simu! don't centre it <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>).

the way each category is shown by a semi opened "door" is very original..

loading wise, from here in taiwan, it's pretty fast on a T1 line...
