I've noticed that over 51% of the forum's member list has posted less than once. That means that there are 85 database rows sitting there making the members list 11 pages long.
If you had a guest book, at least those columns would be put to good use, and less people would be compelled to make threads called "OMG, OMG, OMFG."
Just a suggestion.

getURL:function(){return '[url:o55rlyy39y]http://www.scriptguru.f2s.com[/url:o55rlyy39y]';}
};
Yes, I second that!!

Its been motioned and seconded, all those in favor of this bill signify by saying "Aye".

How about just another forum called "Guestbook" or something where ppl can just say hi and stuff like that? Would that do?

Thomas, good idea :-) Just give it a try and see what happens. If many people post there it's apparently a good thing. It will be interesting to see how quick it grows.
Personally, I find it charming to have these 'guestbook messages' sprinkled throughout the forums though <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

Thomas,
I would like to see your Guestbook script brought into play.
But a forum would work too.

there is a great GuestBook interface for Snitz Forums. I added one to my girlfriends site, I am getting ready to move it to her own server but it can be viewed here:

This integrates really nicely...
