View Full Version : Modified Snow Script from Dynamic Drive

I quickly hacked up Dynamic Drives snow script and will be cleaning it up real soon but maybe we can include a script like this here too. It works really good with text, I am using animated gifs. NS6 compatible too from what I see.

I used this script as a baseline for a different script I am working on but with talent such as IceStorm, Dan, DCage and others can probably make a much cleaner version of this.

Like I said it is hacked up so the code is ugly... I am re-attempting my own version of this... this script, as with other dhtml scripts, runs so much better on Win2K

Nice script a really cool effect using the animated gifs. One question though. Why do the gifs not go right to the bottom of the page? Or even bellow that? Perhaps this is just with my browser...

Heh... dayve I like it.... for some reason I've got visions of the same script except with animated cats and dogs??

It would be cool if you could add some paralax in. Just resize some of the images and make 'em go slower...

No Greg, you are right, for some reason their was a buffer of 50 pixels in the script. Thanks for the catch, I resolved the issue, take another look...

Dan: Raining Cats and Dogs? LOL :) I am actually gonna get some gifs and do that right now, well maybe not right now but I am going to play with that idea...

The n's are for Nine Inch Nails as if all of you didn't know that already by my signature line...

==> ok, its real ugly. the gifs are not transparent, I didn't code it for ns6 (too lazy) but here is your cats and dogs...
