View Full Version : Option for users using opera 5
Hi Thomas,
I was just wondering why you have made it where opera users automatically go into lite mode and how come you dont give a choice. I went on this site a few times with Opera 5 and it loads up really fast, or just as fast as with IE and Netscape. Just wondering. Later

Please! Who is running the web browsers revolution?
---------------------------------------------------
General info: So that you know... Opera 5 has the best W3C recommanded CSS implanted. DHTML just won't cut it on this browser. Its only for high quality html pages with css. Not a whole lot of dhtml it is known for.
My question is... why bother confusing yourself to make a dynamic page compatible for this freaky browser!? Just ignore it. And the question remains....
Who pay for this ******* ****** ******* browser?

I do like Opera, I have it on one of my older 486's, its runs pretty fast, but as like everyone says, IE4+ and NS4+ are just the bomb when its comes to DHTML! Opera can't cut it, but can out do IE and NS for speed!
Adam
P.S. Sucks paying for this browser!
The main reason I force Opera users to the "light" version is that the coolMenu is not supported on Opera.

Please name me just a few people that use Opera (except webprogrammers).
Hey lightning_html do you really think that its a benefit that opera can run pretty fast on 486 comps<img src=icon_smile_question.gif border=0 align=middle>
