Photoshop 6.0? Who uses it?

Hi,

I was just wondering because I just got Photoshop 6.0 about who uses it, and how long it took them to start making images, and fully get aquainted with the program. Right now, it seems pretty difficult to use. Any advice? I am reading some tutorials I found online. Thanks

i use 5.5 and ot's quite user-friendly i think. Not a master, but get on well with it. I bought a book by Ben Willmore and read the examples at designsbymark.com, the original program tutorials a re good as well

it might seem complicated at first but its definitely worth persevering with... PS6 is versatile and has a habit of teaching u little tricks/things by accident :¬)

I use Photoshop 6, Freehand and Fireworks.

Fireworks is easiest to use,
Freehand is the HARDEST

Photoshop sits nicely in the middle - now that they have ripped off Macromedia's tool palletts its much easier for me - but if you are transitioning from another piece of software it can be very hard.

I still do not understand why photoshop only allows on object per layer - to me that is just wasteful.

I say perservere with photoshop until you get the hang of it - do the tutes - they really do help.

Fireworks is a good alternative because you can import or install ALL your photoshop plugins and filters and use them there instead.

transition from photoshop 5 to 5.5 was easy
5.5 was actually a nice improvement
transition from 5.5 to 6 usually isnt easy
6.0 is actually a real nice improvement =D
too bad I dont have it at home, I use 5.5 at home and 6.0 at work
6.0 definitely takes a bit of adjusting too but its real great, 5.5 is great, too nonetheless
i think im a bit too repetitive =lol
