Catching the text of the Sub menu

i want to catch the text of the sub menu is it possible

have been able to catch the text value of the munu clicked

now i want this text to be shown on the page header

there is a single page designed for this and acc to the menu clicked value of the header gets changed

this is also happening but then again the page gets refreshed and i c nothing on the header

can anyone help
