SlideMenu2 -- Father onclick goes to new page

I have a feeling there's a very simple fix to this, but...

Currently when you click on the Father menu item, the child links are displayed. I would like to assign a page to the Father item (like how you can do for the sub links), and when clicked I would like to have the page load, and at the same time I would like the childs to be displayed. I would like to do this without using frames. Is this possible? Any insights would very much be appreciated!
