Hacked again
Written 09/27/2005 byDHTML CENTRAL

I apologise to anyone that was unlucky enough to see that picture someone managed to put up in the projects section of the site last night. That was truly shocking.

It was hacked in the simplest way possible, a sql injection attack on my 7 year old ASP code. In addition to adding the picture he (68.37.113.215) changed the title of everything in the project section to something about not using IIS as a web-server. To Microsoft's defence I have to say that it was purely bad (and old) coding. Makes me cringe looking at that code now...

Update
Written 08/20/2005 by Tim Scarfe

'Sup peeps. Not much to report other than I have banned the the troll on the forums, taken a full off-site backup, done a little spring cleaning on the server and perhaps (finally) fixed that DNS issue.

Let's keep DHTML alive and say bollocks to AJAX!

While I'm here. Check out dotnetsolutions.ltd.uk for lots of software development goodness.

Hacked again
Written 09/10/2004 by Tim Scarfe/Thomas Brattli - London

Server suffered an attack last night from user 202.73.124.119.

This user dropped all the database tables and we have restored the last backup (Feb of this year).

Since we were going to make a new version we haven’t been taking backups, I know it’s not good enough and we apologise. Some real arseholes out there…

Server Problems
Written 11/17/2003 by Tim Scarfe

Sorry about some server problems that we have been experiencing over the past few days. We had managed to lock ourselves out of the server by running out of disk space. For the last day or so, the web service was actually running but the DNS service wasn’t, hence direct IP access worked. All up and running again now! Any queries shout me on tim@developer-x.com

News
Written 07/09/2003 byDHTML CENTRAL

I don't really have a lot of news except that I have added some Google adsense ads to the site.

My email has been down for a long time, it's been really nice (though not so good for the ones of you that have been trying to get a hold of me) because of the amount of spam I was getting before. We are working on getting it back on now though, in the meanwhile you can reach me at thomas underscore brattli at hotmail dot com.

The DC2 development is not really going all that fast, and the content, design and basically everything here is getting more and more outdated which is a shame, but hopefully we'll get around to doing something during the summer.

I have been paying a lot of attention to the blog community lately and I have been thinking about setting up a dhtml/web related blog on this site that would have several ppl blogging about everything happening in the web-world (tech-related) every day. Still thinking on the details though. As usual a tons of ideas in the head but no time to work it all out.

On another note; I wanna thank our admin Tim and the great support ppl at NYI for setting up the server after the crash. This obviosly sound like pure advertising but NYI is for the sure the best hosting company I have ever worked with!

More news to come.
